Inside the HDK Factory: How We Build Every Electric Golf Cart to Order
Most buyers never see where their carts are born. At HDK Electric Vehicle, manufacturing is done in-house — and because we build to order, every vehicle leaving the line is configured for a specific market, fleet, or dealer.
Here is a look at how a cart goes from steel and cells to a finished, road-ready vehicle.

Step 1: Frame and Chassis
It starts with the frame. HDK builds on a reinforced chassis designed for the loads and terrain each model targets — from smooth resort paths to rugged utility work. Welding and alignment set the foundation for ride quality and durability.
Step 2: Drivetrain and Battery
The electric drivetrain — motor, controller, and battery — is fitted and tested. HDK offers lithium (LiFePO4) configurations for lower lifetime cost, with battery sizing matched to the customer's duty cycle and range needs.
Step 3: Configuration and Customization
This is where "built to order" matters:
Seating — two to six seats, passenger or mixed layouts
Battery — lithium or lead-acid per application
Color and branding — property or dealer identity
Accessories — lights, mirrors, cargo beds, tool mounts
Step 4: Testing and Quality Control
Before shipping, vehicles go through functional checks — brakes, steering, electronics, and charging. In-house production means issues are caught and corrected at the source rather than discovered by the customer.
Step 5: Packing and Global Delivery
Finished carts are prepared for container shipping to dealers and distributors worldwide, with documentation for customs and after-sales support handled at the factory.

Why Build to Order
Building to order lets HDK serve very different markets with one flexible production system — a resort in Europe, a community in the Middle East, and a plantation in Latin America can each get a vehicle specified for their reality.
